  + stars: | 2024-04-14 | by ( Kenneth Niemeyer | ) www.businessinsider.com   time to read: +4 min
Ghost kitchens are restaurants with no storefront and no seating that customers never see and which only do delivery. Several influencers and celebrities have used ghost kitchens to produce their own lines of food, like YouTuber Jimmy Donaldson, known online as Mr. AdvertisementAnd as quality issues and late delivery times worsen, some ghost kitchens are starting to see legal challenges. Cracker Barrel also opened its own virtual restaurant using CloudKitchens, another ghost kitchen group, according to Restaurant Business. The company owns three virtual brands, Banda Burrito, The Meltdown, and Burger Den.

Last Wednesday, a Gen Alpha girl named Brooklyn made her older sister Liv Kaplan feel out of touch when she informed her that a slew of Gen Z and millennial slang, from "bae" to "pop off" to "slay," is no longer cool. Perhaps most surprisingly, to call someone a best friend, Brooklyn said Gen Alpha doesn't use "bff" as much as "bsf." (Though some commenters disputed this detail and accused Gen Alpha of "gentrifying" the word GYAT by turning it from a way to say "god damn" into an acronym.) @livkaplan Replying to @Noah Schnapp ASKING MY GEN ALPHA LITTLE SISTER WHAT SLANG IS IN PART 2 💋✨ @BROOKLYN ♬ original sound - Liv KaplanIn a follow-up video, Brooklyn provided more Gen Alpha-friendly phrases. She also said Gen Alpha uses words like "cap," a way to say you think someone is lying, and "ate," meaning metaphorically to devour a look or moment (e.g., "you ate that outfit").

REUTERS/Mario AnzuoniLOS ANGELES, April 10 (Reuters) - An animated series set in the sci-fi world of "Stranger Things" is in development at Netflix (NFLX.O), part of the streaming service's efforts to expand the hit series into a wide-ranging franchise. Netflix announced the series in a statement released on Monday but gave no title or release date and few details. "We’ve always dreamed of an animated 'Stranger Things' in the vein of the Saturday morning cartoons that we grew up loving," the Duffer brothers, creators of the original "Stranger Things" series, said in the statement. "Stranger Things" debuted on Netflix in 2016 and became the company's most-watched English language series. Netflix had previously announced that a "Stranger Things" spinoff show was in the works and a play that will debut at London's West End in November.
Thousands of virtual brands continue to flood delivery apps like Uber Eats, DoorDash, and Grubhub. IHOP is launching a third delivery-only brand – a chicken menu by a "Stranger Things" star. Partnering with Noah Schnapp and Nextbite were a seamless fit to meet the consumer target for our newest Virtual Brand." Stranger Things star Noah Schnapp helped create a virtual chicken menu for IHOP. Nextbite's other celebrity-backed virtual brands include Packed Bowls by Wiz Khalifa and 'Wichcraft sandwiches by Tom Colicchio.
A new "Stranger Things" stage spinoff is coming to London's West End later this year, Netflix announced Wednesday. "Stranger Things: The First Shadow," an adaptation of the popular science fiction series, will premiere at the Phoenix Theatre as the streaming giant's first live stage production. Thorne also wrote the stage play for "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child." The "Stranger Things" series debuted in 2016 and has been one of the streaming platform's most popular shows. Tickets for "Stranger Things: The First Shadow" are expected to go on sale in the spring.
Main members of the "Stranger Things" cast are set to earn from $6 million to $9 million-plus for season five. "Stranger Things" season five will be the show's final season. Puck's Matthew Belloni reported on Thursday how much the show's top actors will be making for the next, and final, season of the Netflix hit. The "Stranger Things" cast has come a long way. "Stranger Things" is one of Netflix's biggest hits.
Noah Schnapp, one of the young stars on Netflix's hit series "Stranger Things," came out on to the internet Thursday using a TikTok trend. Schnapp, 18, posted a video to his verified account featuring popular audio where people describe big life events that weren't "that serious." "When I finally told my friends and family I was gay after being scared in the closet for 18 years and all they said was 'we know,'" Schnapp wrote in the video. During the series' most recent season, fans speculated that Will's character was closeted because he appeared to be in love with his best friend, Mike Wheeler. Schnapp referenced his character in his coming out, writing in the TikTok caption that he was "more similar to Will" than he thought.
